Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Facilities Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be supporting the AS Sector Remote Sites Team and located on site at one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA., San Diego, CA., El Segundo, CA., Melbourne, FL., St. Augustine, FL., Clearfield, UT., Grand Forks, ND., Oklahoma City, OK., or Moss Point, MS. Primary Duties will include: Gathers local stakeholder requirements to develop and define facilities configurations, additions, modifications, and installations necessary to assure business requirements are met. Coordinate Site Space Utilization & Request (SPUR) planning actions (requirements capture, interrogation, and validation and SPUR template development/presentation). Serve as Site SPUR Facilitator (SharePoint mgmt., meeting coordination, hosting, action tracking, attendance/minutes) and will support the Sector SPUR activities for site option assessment as required. Proactively reviews site planning data, engages, creates site scenarios, gathers planning intel and assumptions, understands site capabilities, Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), occupancy forecast, space demand. Supports Facilities Strategic Planning efforts and utilizes outputs for developing Site Master Plan and development of Site scenarios based on planning assumptions and Site Identity. Advises Site Facilities Leads for multiple sites on site planning data/intel/assumptions, site scenario development, occupancy forecast and space demand. Develop and maintain the master project schedules for all facilities construction projects and maintenance activities while coordinating and collaborating with all stakeholders that to ensures the necessary integration with site and stakeholder’s plans. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision, ability to multitask and exercise good judgment, with good follow-up to closure skillset. Acts as primary contact for office and project planning team and internal customers. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master and site plans. Identifies risks, issues and opportunities, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt these skills across the department and across the enterprise. Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all facilities and program objectives. Ensures major projects and maintenance schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including but not limited to business management, engineering, material, manufacturing, quality, and program. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
