Position: Injection Molding Tool Repair Technician
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Shift: 2nd shift
Pay Rate: $28-$36 per hour (based on experience)
Role Overview:
We seek a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain injection molding tools to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Assemble and disassemble screws and barrels for cleaning.
- Operate the fluidized bed cleaning system for component maintenance.
- Replace wear parts to maintain tool efficiency.
- Independently perform turning, milling, and grinding of tool components.
- Obtain quotations and place orders for spare parts.
- Manage the indexing of screws and barrels.
- Maintain records and reports in MES and SAP systems.
Technical Skills Required:
- Completion of a 3-year technical vocational training (e.g., tool mechanic) and at least 2 years of experience in injection molding tool repair.
- 2-3 years of experience with MES and SAP.
- Proven troubleshooting ability in injection molding processes with 2-3 years of experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude (e.g., automotive mechanic, field service technician, or farm mechanic).
- Proficiency in using calipers and reading precise tape measurements (1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/8).
