LSF is looking for a talented Regional Program Director in the Northwest Region of Florida who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

Purpose and Impact:

The Program Director is responsible for the overall performance of all Lutheran Services Florida grants and contracts in the Northwest Florida Region in accordance with the agency’s mission. The incumbent is responsible for building a strong management team and holding them accountable for achievement of all delegated responsibilities. This is a non-direct care position.

Essential Functions:

  • Fulfills performance objectives set by the Executive VP Programs. Develops, coordinates, and assures effective management of the agency’s program of services.
  • Supervises and holds accountable all program leadership for contract requirements.
  • Works closely with Executive Program Director, V.P. Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Senior V.P. HR to insure effective financial controls, adherence to personnel policies and procedures, effective risk management and efficient and effective information technology.
  • Implements methods and processes to recruit, train, develop and retain competent staff for all budgeted positions.
  • Assures that the Region maintains an effective Continuous Quality Improvement utilizing the COA guidelines.
  • Accountable for the administrative structure of all the programs in the region; including finances, human resources, service delivery and marketing.
  • Develops and implements effective tools to measure and monitor performance including but not limited to outcome measurements, quality indicators, and performance benchmarks.
  • Assures that the Programs meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and programmatic objectives.
  • Works closely with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to develop Business Plans and program pro formas.
  • Develops relationships and collaborations with government and local funders.
  • Develops and implements plans to grow the Agency.
  • Nurtures and develops a local advisory council

Physical Requirements:

Incumbent must have energy, persistence, and stamina sufficient for extended working hours and engaging in extensive travel.

Education:

Master’s degree in social work, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field is very desirable. LCSW strongly preferred or bachelor’s degree in human services with years of experience in the field of Refugee Services Programs.

Experience:

Incumbent must have a minimum of 10 years proven leadership, problem solving and managerial capability experience in the health and human services environment with at least 5 years of increasingly responsible and demonstrable managerial accomplishments.

Skills:

Incumbent must have proven ability to recruit, develop and retain a strong and effective management team. Proven full range of financial management skills demonstrated in a large organization. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, to constructively support staff while also insisting on high standards of excellence.
