Job Summary
This position supports the claims operation by providing information and assistance to the company's Salvage Operation. The primary function of this position is to inspect and relocate vehicles, with the use of a forklift, to appropriate staging areas.
Job Duties
- Inspect all incoming vehicles to determine title or salvage certificate status.
Complete inventory inspection sheets.
Move vehicles to staging areas.
Secure all vehicles in lot as appropriate. - Assist with inventory count, in conjunction with the Claims Clerk count.
- Perform routine maintenance to forklifts.
- Ensure security of salvage yard.
- Consult with team manager or supervisor on any security or salvage lot issues
Qualifications
- High School GED Required
- 1-3 years Forklift operator Preferred
- Forklift Certification - Forklift Certification Institute Required
Scope
- Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
- Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
- Under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance.
- Individual Contributor
- Failure to accomplish results can normally be overcome without significant effect on the organization.
- Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor and others in group or department to give and receive information.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$18.20 - $24.27Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
