Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing quality control for waste accumulated at the Hub.  The Warehouse Supervisor will communicate with branches, waste drum services manager/personnel, and ensures flow of containers and compliance.  Oversight to warehouse operations personnel including loading and unloading, waste reconciliation and compliance, ordering and receiving materials for the site, trailer movements in the yard, working with other departments to resolve issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with other areas and departments to ensure a smooth flow of waste/product through the 10-day transfer, Sorting or Universal Waste storage cycle.
  • Responsible for the unloading and loading of wastes in conformance to company rules and regulations.
  • Check-in inbound waste manifests into the HCC system.
  • Supervise Loading, unloading, and sorting: solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations/rules.
  • Operate a fork truck with attachments.
  • Check for inconsistencies with manifested types and quantities with actual containers received in accordance with Company rules and regulations.
  • Supervise compliance of stop area.
  • Perform basic spill cleanup duties as needed.
  • Utilize scanning system and equipment to document waste activities.
  • Oversight of work areas, walls, and floor in a clean and safe condition, overall housekeeping supervision
  • Utilize knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, OSHA, and permit regulations.
  • Understand HCC product Codes and labeling systems to handle and manage HCC products, parts cleaners and drums/containers.
  • Position handles hazardous materials and will often require use of PPE: Boots, Gloves, Suits, Eye/Ear Protection and Respirator.
  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Ensures all employees are working in a safe manner with any prescribed safety equipment required by company policy.
  • Perform yard duties including movement of tankers, dry van trailers and branch route trucks within the yard and at dock entrances.

  • Ability to supervise a team of 8-12 people

Education, Certificates, Licenses:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CDL Class A license with clean motor vehicle record

Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations. All applicants must pass the company paid physical exam including substance abuse screening.
