Ecolab, Purolite Resins, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking a Second Equipment Operator at our Philadelphia manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities and Authority:

  • Performs simultaneously, the effective operation of seven cyclers simultaneously along with all associated valving, transfer pumps, exhaust blowers, other related equipment/process vessels and supporting services in accordance with published procedures
  • Monitors production yields, identifies low yields or abnormal yields to First Equipment Operator or Shift Supervisor
  • Responsible for getting scheduled blends into production
  • Responsible for production times in related areas. Responsible for indicating on shift notes why production times exceed normal. Completes and initials all procedure steps
  • Must qualify as a licensed forklift operator
  • Responsible for the quality of product produced
  • Reports unusual occurrences relating to processes and equipment to the shift supervisor.
  • Able to troubleshoot problems
  • Consistently follows plant good manufacturing principles
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

Must be safety conscious at all times for self and others. Computer literate with basic writing skills. Has the ability to initiate tasks and work in an independent manner. Must be able to communicate with visitors, professional and plant personnel.

Position Details:

  • Location: 3620 G Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134
  • Work week/shift: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous mechanical skills/experience
  • No sponsorship or relocation offered.

Contacts and Relationships:

Interfaces with other department personnel in the corporate office, administration and plant locations as necessary Requires good communication, interpersonal skills and interacts well with external customers, visitors, employees and management in other departments

Working Conditions:

Position operates in an environment in which there may be temperature extremes and exposure to weather, excessive noise and vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electric shock, hazardous chemicals, gases, odors, hot liquids or equipment.  May work in high, low or confined spaces.

Physical Requirements:

Requires ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, up to and including sixteen hours; walk, bend, reach, grasp, handle, push, pull, twist, kneel, squat, carry and lift uneven loads. Lift floor to waist, lift waist level and above, including overhead, up to and including 60 lbs. Contact stress on body from tools, machines or equipment. Climb step stools, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. Ability to roll drums on to and off of pallets potentially up to and including 500 lbs.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$18.00-$22.00 per hour Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
