Our client, a leader in the composites manufacturing industry, is seeking a Plastics Engineer to join their team. As a Plastics Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative product development. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an imaginative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Plastics Engineer

Location: Hanover, PA

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000

What's the Job?

  • Develop and document process, tooling, and new product development for thermoformed products.
  • Optimize productivity, reduce cycle time, improve quality, reduce scrap, and reduce operating costs through continual process improvement.
  • Initiate and assist with capital improvement projects aimed at improving plant capabilities through new equipment purchase and/or facility modification.
  • Develop and monitor training plans to ensure personnel are versed in new process requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address their needs effectively.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a similar engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years direct manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Solidworks and AutoCad is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other “Lean” tools.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
