The Terraces of Phoenix, one of thirteen HumanGood communities named a "Best Nursing Home-2024" by U.S. News & World Report is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for its Skilled Nursing team.

The ADON assists the Director of Nursing (DON) to plan, lead, organize, and evaluate nursing services that meet the total needs of our residents. S/he ensures an efficient health facility operation in cooperation with other departments and provides care in accordance with our “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care.”

Annual Salary: $90,000-110,000 (Depending on Experience)

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating actively in clinical staff training and development
  • Assisting the DON in building and sustaining a world-class nursing team
  • Supervising/making daily rounds with floor nurses, ensuring appropriate and necessary resident care is provided at all times
  • Interacting with residents and their families; answering their questions and offering them support and direction as needed
  • Attending resident review and IDT meetings

To be successful in this role you would have:

  • Current CA RN license
  • Current CPR Certification
  • BS Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience
  • Minimum of one-year of professional management experience
  • Current or prior Skilled Nursing leadership experience
  • Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records, and communicate with team members
