Job Summary
The Lead Messaging & Collaboration Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft O/M365, Azure, and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Resolves and appropriately completes assigned cases and change requests and acts as an escalation for support issues. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft O/M365, Azure, SSO, Active Directory, PowerShell Scripting, and Active Directory Federation Services. Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online Management. Familiarity with Security & Compliance in O/M365. Experience with Message Hygiene solutions (Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint).
Responsibilities
- Attribute and object level knowledge of Active Directory.
- Design, Install, and Administration of on Prem Exchange 2013 & 2019, and Exchange Online.
- Design, Implement, and Enforce Email System Security, hygiene, SPAM Control, Geofencing.
- Ownership and Administration of SPF, DMARC Policies.
- Privileged Information Manager, and Access Control Review.
- Develop automation routines to replace manual processes and increase efficiency.
- Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required system maintenance activities.
- Escalate problems to management and/or vendors in a timely fashion.
- Develop techniques and implement the resolution of problems based on root cause analysis.
- Follow established Change Control procedures to document all production changes, and to limit unexpected interruptions to the production environment.

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of technical experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- This is NOT an operational role. This is an engineering role and performance expectations will reflect as such. Prescriptive instructions for task fulfillment will not be provided
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft O/M365, Microsoft Active Directory, and PKI architecture
- In Depth knowledge of Email Tracing & Forensics, Support eDiscovery
- Extensive experience in the design and troubleshooting of Azure AD and Azure. Manage Azure subscriptions and resources
- Experience in architecture and design of enterprise IT infrastructure
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to peers, management, and business stakeholders in a written and verbal fashion
- Ability to research, analyze, define, propose, design, document, and implement solutions to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrated knowledge of authentication, security, privacy, and compliance and how they factor into cloud and hybrid solutions
- Self-Starter: Ability to work without supervision on large and/or extended-term projects
- Technical problem solver, able to identify multiple parallel options for solving a given business problem
- Excellent troubleshooting skills are a must in this position
- Knowledge and understanding of common project management concepts
- Understanding of traditional SDLC, Waterfall and Agile project delivery concepts
- Knowledge and understanding of general ITIL concepts
- Backup and Disaster Recovery experience
- Agile project team experience is required
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while autonomously remaining accountable for individual deliverables
- Strong working knowledge of network architecture and standards for large enterprise deployments and understanding of security frameworks specific to IT Standards (PCI/SOX/etc.)
Primary Technology Expertise Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft O/M365, Azure, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Windows Active Directory, LDAP Query & Response, and PKI
- Collaboration tool suite, Exchange, Microsoft Teams
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting
Secondary Technical Skills Desired
- Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Yammer, and OneDrive management
- Technical writing
