Job Description:

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

The Critical Care CenterĀ is a 13-bed critical care unit with 24 hourĀ intensivistĀ coverage that serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical issues.Ā 

Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his/her displacement according toĀ MNAĀ contract section 9.4 (f)(1).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Mass RN license

  • Current AHAĀ BLSĀ andĀ ACLSĀ certification required.Ā 

  • At least 6months-1 year recent (within the last 12months)Ā critical care experience required; ability to demonstrate competency in core critical care skills: ventilator management,Ā vasoactiveĀ and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiacĀ dysrhythmiaĀ recognition and management, postĀ STEMIĀ care; evidence of relevant continuing education

Recommended Requirements:

  • BSN &Ā CCRNĀ Preferred.Ā 

  • Documented professional development activities.
