This position is responsible for ensuring that all customers are billed for services and the timeliness & accuracy of charges on customer bills. The Billing Coordinator will serve as a liaison between the accounting systems, Branch Locations, Collections, and Data Entry/Data Integrity. This position runs billing cycles, tracking billing reporting metrics, producing queries & other managerial reports, and Revenue SOX documentation.

What you'll do:

  • Produce centralized monthly billing metrics, revenue analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate bills for residential, temporary, and commercial customers while preventing and tracking revenue leakage.
    - Communicate proactively with internal teams on revenue strategies and best practices, and collaborate closely with the Tower, PC Scale & JD Edwards System Support team, Financial Revenue Recognition Team, Branch Managers, Controllers, and Credit & Collections Teams.

    - Ensure new business orders and information are entered accurately and timely through the billing process, assisting in Cycle Level Loading.

    - Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements by documenting processes related to Company Data Integrity and Revenue Stream, and adhere to company Change Control Standards and Change Management.

    - Work with key Billing Vendor and associated contracts, providing phone support coverage as required for the Tower billing function.

    - Conform to all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies, performing other duties as requested by management.

What's required:

- Proficient in Tower, PC Scale, JD Edwards, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project); an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Mathematics, Business, or Computer Science is required.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting (Collections, Billing, IT) role or a combination of education and experience; demonstrated success as a proactive team member anticipating company and user needs.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on quality assurance and statistical/metric reporting.

- High attention to detail, action-oriented, and capable of working under stringent deadlines; strong organizational skills to consolidate and integrate diverse inputs.
