The Holiday Inn at the Portland Airport features 284 guest suites and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. The hotel is located less than a mile outside the Portland International Airport, seven miles from downtown Portland, and nine miles from downtown Vancouver. The hotel has convenient access to Trimet public transportation reaching the suburban areas of metro-Portland.

We are looking for a highly motivated Bartender/Server to join our team!  Guest experience is our number one priority, so customer service is the most important aspect of this role. The Bartender will serve drinks, take orders, and set up/take down the restaurant - all with a welcoming and friendly attitude!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional and professional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests
  • Dispense alcoholic beverages and control service to ensure accordance with liquor laws and company policies and regulations
  • Perform side duties such as cleaning, sanitizing, garnish preparation, miscellaneous food and beverage preparation, stocking, etc.
  • Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to closing time
  • Complete daily opening and closing duties
  • Address guest complaints

  • Collect and process guest payments

  • Account for all cash and secure money drops according to company policy
  • Ensures tips are reported properly for tax processing
  • Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation so that guests and employees will not be in risk of cross-contamination
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Prior Experience: 

Six (6) months of previous bartender experience 

Preferred Prior Experience:

Hospitality experience 

Required Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent  

Required Licenses/ Certification: 

Oregon Food Handlers License

OLCC Alcohol Service Permit

Physical: 

Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally 

Able to lift 10lbs regularly 

Able to bend and squat repeatedly 

Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift  

Other: 

Intermediate English at minimum

Bilingual a plus

Flexible to work day shifts, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays 

***Must have or be able to get within 30 days - Oregon Food Handlers Card and OLCC alcohol service card***
