About The Position

Barton Associates is seeking an OB/GYN physician for a locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This comprehensive role involves providing both clinic-based and on-call services at a hospital setting, starting 06/23/2025, for a duration of 70 days. The schedule includes clinic hours from 8:45 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, with additional on-call responsibilities each night and weekend. The physician will be responsible for a wide range of OB/GYN procedures, including prenatal care, gynecological consultations, various in-office procedures, and surgical interventions.

Provider Type Needed: Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:45am-5pm, plus nightly and weekend on-call


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in both clinic and hospital settings 

• Perform prenatal care, including new OB visits and ongoing management 

• Conduct gynecological consultations and examinations 

• Carry out in-office procedures such as IUD placements/removals, Nexplanon placements/removals, colposcopies, LEEPs, endometrial biopsies, and vulvar biopsies 

• Perform surgical procedures including D&Cs, hysterectomies, C-sections, and salpingectomies 

• Manage on-call duties for obstetrical and gynecological emergencies 

• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation and management 

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards


Additional Information: 

• Oregon medical license required 

• Experience in both clinical and surgical OB/GYN care essential 

• Comfort with managing diverse OB/GYN cases and procedures 

• Ability to handle on-call responsibilities and emergency situations 

• Potential for assignment extension
