What You Will Be Doing

Arrives to work on time, ready to work, neat, and well-groomed,
Learns the names and personally recognizes regular guests
Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Steps of Service
Responsible for the preparation of all drinks to Hurricane Grill and Wings standards
Takes food and beverage orders from guests and enters orders in point-of- sale system
Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
Maintains clean service areas
Washes and sterilizes glassware
Performs sidework at the beginning and end of each shift as required
Assists the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies. Is ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
Maintains outstanding knowledge of the core menu, drink menu and LTO
menu and is able to answer guests’ questions on the items
Monitors and observes guests’ dining experience. Ensures guests are satisfied with the food and service. Responds promptly and courteously to any requests
Takes payment from guests using any applicable gift cards, rewards card, discount or coupo
Responsible for the bartender cash drawer and all monies contained

How You Will Do It

Knowledgeable about menu and wine selections and is able to describe them to guests
Ability to project a professional appearance at all times
Ability to have a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers
Knowledgeable in the cleanliness, correct use, and maintenance of all equipment and work areas
Knowledgeable in hotel property and park venues and hours of operation
High School diploma or equivalent.

21+ with ability to complete ServSafe Alcohol course within 1 month of hire
Able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area
Has experience with preparing drinks in a high volume, cost controlled environment
Has basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
Previous food service experience preferred
Must be able to stand, or walk for extended periods of time
For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to actively communicate with large groups of Guests and other co-workers within the stand
Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines
Must be a friendly and outgoing team player.
