Reporting to the National Accounts Implementation Supervisor, the National Accounts Data Implementation role is responsible for the setup of new accounts and revision of existing accounts for all National Accounts customers. This position will complete customer data entry for new and existing accounts, address inconsistencies of customer data, and collaborate with key stakeholders (sales, pricing, contracts, data validation, IT) to maintain accurate customer records.



 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough data analysis of an acquisition’s customer dataset, evaluating individual data fields for errors, mismatches, or non-conformance with data standards
  • Address inconsistencies of customer data by working with various departments and functions across GFL to locate missing data and/or identify the correct values
  • Update data and information errors and inconsistencies according to standardized data entry and validation procedures either prior to Corporate IT (or other party as identified and agreed upon with IT) importing that data into GFL systems or subsequent to, depending on the situation
  • Set up new customer accounts and revise existing accounts in GFL systems based on various inputs such as contracts, invoices, billing information, and other sources
  • Ensure customer data entries are complete and accurate through a detailed self-review and adherence to data entry and validation policies
  • Create and maintain detailed notes and procedures used to improve the quality and integrity of customer migrations
  • Support the Data Validation Specialist, as required, in performing regular data integrity and quality audits
  • Adhere to data management best-practices and maintain a high standard of accuracy and efficiency


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • 1-3 years of experience in data validation, auditing, and/or quality improvement
  • Working knowledge of data analysis techniques, data quality remediation, and best practices for maintaining data quality
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Affinity for working with data and paying attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with significant experience using Excel
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED, though associate or bachelor’s degree in a computer related field is desired
  • Knowledge of and/or experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to create queries against databases is a plus
  • Exposure to or experience maintaining and consolidating multiple databases across a large enterprise technology platform is a plus
  • Knowledge of waste and environmental services industry is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Trux and/or Tower applications is a plus
