Position Summary:
The Data Quality Manager has the responsibility for ensuring that Salesforce data policies and standards turn into practice for Contract Sales and other business units.
The Manager will provide direction, management, and oversight of Penske's Salesforce Coordinators. This team is responsible for curating high-quality Salesforce data that is easily accessible in a consistent and sustainable manner to enable various analytics and tools throughout the organization. The manager will work with the business, IT and Marketing to perform analysis, define procedures, develop stewardship tools and provide direction for tactical coordination and execution by the Salesforce team.
The end result will be high quality and consistent critical data in Salesforce files that Penske can use across the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
• Become the expert on Salesforce data stewardship -- grow the expertise as an SME of stewardship best practices as well as Penske data in Salesforce files. Grow and maintain that expertise through external sources like conferences, organizations, publications and working with internal teams on analysis of Salesforce files and our business and IT processes for those files.
• Collaborate with the Contract Sales, IT, Marketing, and other Salesforce teams to understand data quality needs in key data files. Provide analysis, project leadership and stewardship to determine a course of action to meet those needs.
• Identify, escalate, and lead remediation plans with teams that may include IT, various departments in the business, upstream processes, source systems, platforms and data stewards.
• Lead and manage an internal Salesforce Coordinator team through guidance, coaching, development and knowledge of Penske's data and data stewardship procedures.
• Develop data quality goals/metrics that align with the data quality requirements. Provide Management with visibility and reporting on those metrics. Develop remediation plans where those metrics fall outside of the requirement.
• Other projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data, Computer Science, General Business, Software Development, or Project Management
• Master's Degree preferred
• Salesforce Admin Certification Preferred
• 5 Years of management or project leadership experience in business, CRM or Marketing related field
• 5 years of data analysis, data remediation or data stewardship experience
• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce system
• Intermediate Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Advanced data and process management skills
• Ability to establish strong credibility with business leaders and stakeholders through functional knowledge, deep understanding of Penske Salesforce data
• Ability to coach and lead a team in a data heavy environment
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple critical projects at the same time
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
