Position Summary:

Penske is seeking an ambitious & motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Controllership team. Penske is a leader in the transportation industry. We help move lives and businesses forward. The Operational Accounting team is looking for an individual to provide “best in class” support through their expertise and fresh thinking. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide analysis and metrics for Vehicle Accounting processes and be responsible for knowledge of all systems. The position will require the ability to query, analyze and map detailed processes with the highest level of data and reporting integrity.

Major Responsibilities:

-Query and analyze data for vehicle related processes

-Develop and calculate measures/metrics

-Support departmental improvement projects for vehicle related processes

-Develop automated solutions for analysis around vehicle related processes

-Participate in solutions development projects

-Assist Leadership Team in developing ROI for projects and initiatives

-Prepare Account Reconciliations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policy

-Participate in monthly close process including preparation of monthly reports and financial analysis

-Ensure financial integrity by reviewing financial statement and performing analysis to identify errors and explain fluctuations.

-Analysis of financial statement trends

-Build cooperative working relationships with stakeholders & be a process partner for the business

Lead and participate in special projects, as assigned

Qualifications:

-At least 3 years financial analytics experience required

-At least 3 years of business or operational experience preferred

-Bachelor's in Finance, Economics and/or Accounting required

-MBA, CPA or CMA preferred

-Strong analytical & accounting skills required

-Strong thoroughness and self-review capabilities

-Independent problem solving skills required

-Strong oral and written communication skills required

-Process mapping experience required.

-Data mining and report tool (experience Crystal, Business Objects, etc.) preferred

-Quality program certification (Six Sigma, ISO, LEAN, etc.) preferred

-Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Access required

-Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint required

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
