Manpower is looking for the best talent for a Maintenance Engineer position.

Location: Redford, MI
Shift: Monday - Friday. 11:00pm - 7:00am.
Payrate: $40/hr - $46/hr

Position Summary:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational readiness of our HDE Machining Operations, including Blocks, Connecting Rods, Heads, Liners, and Turbo Machining & Assembly Operations. You will collaborate closely with Maintenance Supervisors, Controls Engineers, and cross-functional teams to diagnose, repair, and optimize CNC and Assembly Machining equipment. Additionally, you will contribute to creating maintenance plans, implementing new technologies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical engineering and technical support to diagnose and repair CNC and Assembly Machining Operations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex equipment downtime issues and implement monitoring systems.
  • Support all critical machine breakdown repairs, coordinating across shifts.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and equipment OEMs to specify new machines and upgrades.
  • Interpret production data to develop machine upgrade projects and implement cycle time improvements.
  • Assist in planning and executing planned maintenance with the TPM group.
  • Identify critical spare parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency with PC hardware and commercially available software.
  • Knowledge of safety codes and standards, fluid systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant, and lubrication).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively.
  • Familiarity with Maximo, SAP, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Maximo, SAP, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of metal cutting, press force monitoring, part marking, fastening, washing, and filter manufacturing & machining processes.
  • Background in machine maintenance with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality work.
