We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA. This vital role is primarily responsible for tactical support of significant customer and/or other counter-party agreements; to include, but not limited to, the management of a cross-functional process, and the thoughtful analysis, curation and presentation of levers, trends, risks, and other contract terms that impact profitability, cash flow and valuation.

As a vital business partner to senior leaders, the analyst offers broad financial and operational expertise, displays intellectual curiosity, proactively investigates issues, understands important deal levers and makes impactful recommendations to key business operators. As a teammate, the analyst builds, continuously improves, and maintains models, tools and processes that serve to bolster their teammates' ability to be productive and add value and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaises amongst internal sales teams and corporate leadership to develop, evaluate, and influence complex customer contracts.
  • Leverages multiple data resources and cross-functional relationships to create and curate financial projections and related sensitivities.
  • Develops contract and customer analytics, to include relative benchmarking and financial performance profiles.
  • Collaborates with other finance teams to improve accuracy of corporate financial forecast.
  • Develops partnerships, both within and outside of finance, across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Assists with other ad-hoc analytics, projects, and requests.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and/or finance analytics

Critical Skills:

  • 3+ years financial modeling and/or analysis
  • 2+ years creating presentations for all leadership levels
  • 2+ years working with large data sets
  • Experience influencing decision making without authority
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Robust analytical and financial acumen
  • Strong financial modeling experience
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity
  • SQL or similar programming language desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Works and thinks well independently
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, reconciling data
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to make business decisions
  • Experience with presentations to senior leadership
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks, competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to work with databases, and large datasets

Education:

  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master’s Degree preferred, but not required
