Job Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time PreOp PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. As a PreOp PACU RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients before and after surgery.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  •         Primary focus on PACU
  •         Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery
  •          Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
  •          Monitor and manage patients' vital signs and overall condition in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  •          Provide post-operative care and support, including pain management and patient education.
  •          Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  •          Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  •          Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Required Skills:
  •          Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in VA
  •          Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  •          Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PreOp and/or postoperative setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
  •          Must have current BLS certification, ACLS certification is ideal.
