Duties:  Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Design, develop, and maintain Android mobile applications. Collaborate with UX, Product and Middle layer team to define architecture of the mobile solutions. Contribute and maintain the in house Mars Framework for the mobile application. Ensure the performance, reliability, and functionality of the applications on a range of devices and operating systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Debug and troubleshoot issues in the applications. Stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in the Android ecosystem. Work with large codebases and complex software systems. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Contribute to the design and architecture of the applications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.Â

Salary: $168,138.00 - $193,900.00 per year
What you have
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related field and 48 months of experience in a related occupation. Experience must include the following: Java programming language developing large scale Android applications; Kotlin programming language; Supporting multiple versions of Android Software Development Kit; Exceptional Object Oriented (OO) design and development skills; Developing and maintaining source code with asynchronous communications; Enterprise level branching/merging with Jenkins and/or Bamboo; Mobile performance, latency, and security issues using performance analysis tools; Security best practices for mobile application development/integration.
