Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking an Assembly Associate Level 2. This role is responsible for utilizing hand and power tools to assemble, manufacture, disassemble, repair, sort, and inspect small soap-dispensing units and larger sub-assembly machines.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform plumbing, basic electrical wiring, routine testing of mechanical / hydraulic / electrical components of assembled units and make necessary adjustments and corrections
  • Perform initial production runs and prototype work from engineering specifications
  • Perform assigned re-manufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, polishing, inspection and re-assembly
  • Work from process and specifications sheets
  • Accurately process necessary paperwork related to labor reporting and record keeping
  • Utilize TPM tools improve safety, efficiency, increase service to our customers and reduce cost
  • Proactively communicate maintenance needs, quality issues or other situations that impact safety, quality, or productivity to the appropriate leader
  • Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and losses
  • Assist in training teammates
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Roscoe, IL
  • Work week and shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm, 10-hour days
  • Compensation package offered: $19.50 / hour, depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience with assembly techniques and test procedures
  • 1 year of experience with color coding for basic wiring
  • 1 year of experience in reading and interpret blueprints, specifications, electrical schematics

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires regularly lifting and carrying 50lbs
  • Standing upwards of 10 hours
  • As a prerequisite, this position requires a passing drug screen and physical exam
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices as they relate to control enclosure/panel assembly, wiring, and safety
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical components such as contactors, relays, disconnects, enclosures, VFD’s, PLC’s, etc.
  • Experience with complex tools and computer-based testing
  • Experience with collaboration and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time-management and communication skills

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$19.50 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
