The Research Associate III will contribute routine scientific knowledge or expertise to investigation activities for achievement of project goals and solve routine experimental design or research problems with some assistance. Under direction, conduct investigations utilizing imaging and spectroscopic techniques. The person in this role will plan details of assigned tasks within specific parameters. The Research Associate will organize data, write and issue reports with minimal guidance, as well as, demonstrate working knowledge of basic and advanced technical principles for light and scanning electron microscopy and spectroscopic methodologies. Will develop knowledge and understanding of GxP and related regulations and guidance and interface with operations and manufacturing functions in issue resolution activities. What will you be doing: Contribute to technical feasibility analysis of complex research concepts related to particle characterization, root cause investigations, and process improvement studies. Synthesize results into reports, presentations, and communications to a variety of audiences. Evaluate results relative to product requirements, definitions and/or program goals. Independently plan and execute a series of design and/or technical tasks that may not be well-defined, have multiple variables, and require advanced techniques within negotiated deadlines. Play a lead role in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various techniques, which accomplish business objectives such as quality and cycle-time. May provide training and supervision to junior members within the discipline. Routinely provide advice and assistance to team members regarding unique problems. Devise new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles. Incorporate new methods and technologies for improving existing or new products/processes. Maintain current knowledge of relevant QSRs and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all research, data collection and reporting activities. Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of GxP and related regulations and guidance. Maintain focus on meeting both external and internal customer expectations.
