The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurate material handling, driving for the packaging lines, staging and removing material, completing all paperwork and coding, storing items in the proper places, updating the computer inventory system, ensuring received goods are checked for damage, and transporting pallets or individual containers of finished goods to storage area using forklift, pallet dolly or other equipment as required.

What You Will Do:  

  • Driving for packaging lines, which includes staging and removing material.
  • Working as a team and sharing job responsibilities with other FTOs, Logistics Associates, and Material Handlers, as needed. Being a team player. Covering for mixer drivers during breaks or as needed.
  •  Helping clear pallets from the wrappers at the front dock. 
  • Transporting pallets or individual containers of finished goods to storage area using forklift, pallet dolly, or other equipment, as required.
  • Loading delivery trucks based on pick lists and shipping order. Following regulations for the loading and transport of chemical products. 
  • Accurately and promptly completing documentation, either on paper, via scanner, or by entering data into computer. 
  • Tracking distribution and quality data as requested. 
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area. 
  • Performing salvage/recoup activities per standard operating procedures if needed. 
  • Recording and tracking safety, quality and productivity in accordance with plant and departmental goals.  
  • Working to move COI from TPM Bronze to TPM Silver through your performance and participation in TPM.
  • Caring for fork truck and/or batteries as required.


Position Details: 

  • Plant location: City of Industry, CA
  • Work week and shift:  Sun - Thurs 10:00pm - 6:30am

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse
  • 2 years of experience operating Raymond brand stand-up reach forklifts
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with TPM
  • Ability to read and follow instructions in English language
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role 
     

Physical Demands:  

  • This position requires regularly lifting and carrying 50lbs 
  • As a prerequisite to employment, this role requires passing a drug screen and physical exam

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$24.00 – $27.00 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
