Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Test.   This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Successful candidates will support integration and test of element level requirements, verification and validation in support of multiple product team disciplines within command and launch.  The selected engineer will be experienced working DOD developmental test or familiar with Northrop Grumman processes.
 
This position includes:
• Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML
• Understanding of testing methodologies to assist with the validation of test cases
• Ability to derive requirements from high level requirements
• Generation of applicable documentation and presentations
• Interfacing with customers, program management and technical staff
• Problem resolution and improvement recommendations
• Author test plans and reports
• Product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.
• Short- and long-term integration planning and execution of multiple concurrent baselines. This include integrating subsystem functionality into system capabilities per design with an emphasis on system stability and performance 
• Occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

  • Minimum of 3 years of Test Engineering experience

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Supplier test execution experience

  • Experience with HVAC systems, fluid dynamics, and airflow test environments

  • Agile experience

  • Experience with Siemens NX and Team Center

  • JIRA/Confluence

  • Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML

  • Proficiency in DOORS and Cameo

Salary Range: $104,400 - $156,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
