Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr. Principal Software Engineer – 13280. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The successful candidate will support element level software coding & development which includes:
• Software Design, develop, and unit testing software code.
• Experienced in telemetry and data processing.
• Technical experience in software, computer hardware and network, interconnection and/or interfacing technologies.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Sr. Principal Software Engineer: 08 Years with Bachelor’s , 06 Years with Masters, 03 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience with C++ or Python and object-oriented programming concepts
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience in software development Linux.
- Experience with AGILE Software development processes.
- Experience with Atlassian Tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab, etc.
- Knowledge of test concepts: automation, data capture, reporting.

Salary Range: $114,900 - $172,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
