Job Purpose
Effectively lead multi-disciplinary facility electrical engineering projects with capabilities to implement and communicate an operational plan for completing a project, monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project. Project scope includes current situation assessment, design, coordination, electrical capacity, coordinate process demand with current infrastructure capacity. Â Productively manage workload to successfully complete end of life, new investment, and customer driven projects. Â Systemize, standardize, and simplify the electrical projects.
Key Accountabilities
•Electrical Engineering– Specify and evaluate the equipment and installation for all electrical equipment.  Evaluate drawings, teach, and train other discipline engineers on electrical specialty.  Assess electrical capacity versus current demand.  Evaluate end of life and innovate new characteristic changes on all electrical infrastructure.  Â
•Support operation of Facilities electrical systems including but not limited to generators, electrical panels, busways, transformers, breakers, and lighting and controls.  Manage and maintain documentation for the site Electrical Systems.  Communicate critical updates to site system operators Â
•Utility Outages – Coordinate all power outages with internal departments, contractors, and outside entities as required.  Issue electrical schedules to affected customer and receive approval to proceed.  Schedule contract work and equipment service support to complete each power outage. Â
•Support development of maintenance & investment budgets for the department electrical equipment and projects.  Â
•Simplex (life safety) Expert – Coordinate all life safety work with life safety expert, Simplex.  Provide feedback to Simplex on performance and required areas for improvement.  Evaluate project progress and identify areas for improvement.  Coordinate life safety work with electrical contractor, equipment service, customer department, County inspector to ensure work is complete without impacting SQCEDM categories.  Â
•Project Management - Work with internal customers and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to develop initial concept, specifications, design drawing review, procurement scope, fabrication / construction, and installation-related documents.   Â

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications  Â
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum Experience  Â
1 to 4 years of experience developing, coordinating, and managing Electrical, Mechanical and/or facility related projects preferred

Actively support / participate in project team activities related to significant business innovation; develop and execute activities / tasks to achieve objectives of business team
Demonstrate solid base of technical knowledge in day-to-day operations

Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to use AutoCAD
Ability to read Electrical and mechanical drawings
Job Dimensions
Financial Dimensions  Â
Responsible for investment and expense spending for Facilities R&M to $1M+ multidisciplinary project scopes, Complete EOL analysis and Budget forecasting as needed
Decisions Expected
Set direction for equipment projects (method, layout, support requirements, etc)
Determine department strategy and plans to strengthen business characteristics
Determine appropriate methods to renew and install equipment to mitigate risk to current & future operations
Working Conditions
Ability to work overtime as needed to complete tasks
Office, Shop, and Plant environment
Work all appropriate weekends / shutdowns to manage projects and cover production needs.
Complete work tasks under limited supervision
