About this Position: 


Responsible for total Quality Maturation of the complete powertrain unit and prevent outflow of any problems to our customers. 
Manage all areas of PUO BU -  New Model  in relation to Design, Test, Initial Quality Survey, Warranty, Rejects Per Unit, Themes, 1 Quality Event, Certification, Engine Part/Part Assembly, Dynamic and Static engine testing verification and assurance, Critical Control point development, implementation and verification.
Manage New Model project in the Quality Zone from project Kick-off to E3. Typically 3-4 months after mass production.

 



Key Accountabilities


•    Quality Project establishment, identify new technologies for specific focus, create overall Quality Vision & Strategy. Forecast expected achievement based on planned quality activities
•    Set a strategy plan, OQ flow focus, formalize the Specified Action Plan (SAP)
•    Lead Q1-2-3, In-house QAV’s and 5-step activity.  Support Die-Go and Manufacturing readiness reviews
•    Confirm all design changes and all design concerns have countermeasures, report readiness.
•    Establish/manage A00 project quality targets, summarize Q activity and report to EPL/Plant Leads
•    Manage all areas of Design, Test, IQS, Warranty, Themes, IQS, Quality Events, and Certification. 
•    Project Reporting, Finalize Design Concerns, Past Problem History, Warranty, New Product Development etc Summarize results of Mass Production and reflect for future models.
•    Lead new model project Q-Zone activity.



Required Experience:


    6-8 years of relevant engineering experience, New Model development experience.

 


 Required Education:


    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related experience.

 


Other job specific skills:  


    A past or current New Model project leader at Honda, with specific manufacturing experience.

 


Additional Position Factors:


    Travel domestic and Japan. Typical overtime, 5~10 hours/week, flexibility in work hours, before and after core shift time.
