Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Phantom Works Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) team in Berkeley, MO to support development efforts on a proprietary program.

The Systems Engineer applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex system and system of systems solutions. Evaluates needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. The ability to work in a collaborative team environment on-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative to this role.  The selected individual will work in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written and verbal communications skills are essential. 

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Level Systems Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of documentation, deliveries and customer reviews

  • Support execution of program configuration and data management processes

  • Support Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, environments analysis, specification development, trade studies, program planning, interface management, risk management, certification planning & execution, verification & test planning, and overall integration

  • Support execution of Phantom Works systems engineering initiatives

  • Support interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions

  • Establish, maintain, and demonstrate traceability between the requirements, analysis, and design

  • Manage program technical metrics

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Associate (Level 2) 2+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or work related engineering experience with a Master’s

  • Experienced (Level 3) 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or work related engineering experience with a PhD

  • Experience in systems engineering tasks such as architecture development (particularly Cameo/SysML), requirements management, verification or airworthiness certification

Summary pay range (Associate, Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400
