The Cardiothoracic ICU cares for complex patients with multiple-system conditions, including adult congenital anomalies and heart and lung transplant patients needing post-surgical care. With nurse-patient ratios that promote patient safety and patient/family satisfaction, nurses care for patients with the very latest technology, which includes telemedicine.

The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) specializes in the post-operative care of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients including ECMO, VAD, and transplants.
Our high acuity patient volume allows for low nurse-patient ratios promoting safety and satisfaction of patients, families, and staff.Â
Patients are supported by a multidisciplinary team providing the latest evidence-based practice, procedural techniques, and complex surgical procedures with advanced technology.
