Additional Information About the Role

    • Full time, Day shift position but will need to be available to come in during evenings/nights/weekends to perform in services, ensuring competencies, developing preceptors/mentors, etc. 
    • Masters preferred. Open to starting a program within one year.
    • Self-motivated to see a problem and proactively address it (needs to have initiative)
    • Quick to pick up technology (Microsoft suite products, bookings, AV, etc.)
    • Previous Tele, ICU, and/or Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
    • Previous experience in teaching or precepting
    • Previous Professional Governance/Shared Governance experience.
    • Strong time management skills.

    Scope

    • Service line responsibilities- BJSP Adult Telemetry, BJSP/PWH Cardiac Services (Vascular Intervention Lab, Cardiac Testing, Respiratory)
    • Weekly new hire check-in conversations, Professional Practice Rounding, Competency Management/Oversight, EBP, participation in Shared Governance
    • Splitting time between the two facilities (BJSP and PWH).

Overview

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.

 

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational and professional development activities and programs for clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Collaborates with staff and representatives of other organizations to develop, present and or evaluate clinically focused training, continuing education and or professional development opportunities.
  • Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborates with leadership to assess the educational needs of the staff and develops appropriate education plan.
  • Participates in professional development and life long learning.
