The Esophageal and Airway Treatment (EAT) Program at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital cares for infants, children and young adults with complex esophageal and airway problems. Led by esophageal and airway expert Jason Smithers, M.D., our dedicated team combines compassionate care, innovative techniques and cutting-edge technology and equipment to treat babies and children with esophageal and airway concerns. The EATS APRN/PA will work closely with the team, patients, and families in mainly the inpatient settings, but also some outpatient settings as well.

Schedule: Fulltime, 40 hours per week, Rotating shifts, Weekend work required

Minimum Qualifications:

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

  • Masters or Doctorate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Florida APRN licensure and national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Acute Care
  • 1-year Pediatric Acute Care PNP experience preferred
  • BLS and PALS certification will be required prior to start date.

Physician Assistant

  • Graduation from an APAP (ARC-PA) approved Physician Assistant Training Program.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Florida PA license
  • 1-year work experience in Pediatrics
  • BLS and PALScertification will be required prior to start date.
