We are seeking a Managing Director of Operations to join our Collection leadership team. The candidate will build a team responsible for the Collections Business Strategy Execution across OMF Loans, Auto Finance, Credit Card, and Point of Sale.Ā 

In the RoleĀ 

Strategic Leadership:Ā 

  • Partner with multiple Analytics Teams, Finance Partners, Product owners and Operations leaders to deliver on OMF Net Credit Loss and Expense results Develop and execute the operational strategy aligned with the companyā€™s business goals.Ā 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the collection operations support overall company strategy.Ā 

  • Change Champion for collections operations across all products working with Analytics and Insights team to ensure adoption and execution of testing plans.Ā 

Operational Oversight:Ā 

  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.Ā 

  • Monitor incentive programs and goal setting across all collectionā€™s businesses. Challenge current metrics.Ā 

  • Drive Dialer and SMS execution of daily campaigns.Ā 

Team Leadership and Development:Ā 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational leaders, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to manage their teams effectively.Ā 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the teams.Ā 

Cross-functional Collaboration:Ā 

  • Create visibility into operations impact and efficacy to both senior leadership and key stakeholders. including consistent results reviews and ongoing priority discussions for each product across all channels (Branch, Central and Digital).Ā 

  • Serve as the primary conduit between frontline operations, analytics, and finance teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of objectives.Ā 

  • Work closely with the analytics team to leverage data-driven insights for optimizing collection strategies and outcomes.Ā 

  • Develop and Maintain Field SMD content and routines.Ā 

Financial Management:Ā 

  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting related to collection operations.Ā 

  • Drive cost management initiatives and ensure operations are within budgetary constraints.Ā 

  • Optimize site and resources strategy including use of vendors.Ā 

Compliance and Risk Management:Ā 

  • Ensure that all collection activities comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.Ā 

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with collection operations.Ā 

Process Improvement:Ā 

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer outcomes.Ā 

  • Lead initiatives to automate and streamline collection processes where appropriate.Ā 

Stakeholder Management:Ā 

  • Function as the key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address any issues.Ā 

  • Prepare and present regular updates on operational performance to the executive team and board of directors.Ā 

Technology and Innovation:Ā 

  • Collaborate with IT and innovation teams to leverage technology in enhancing collection processes and systems.Ā 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in collection operations.Ā 

Customer Experience:Ā 

  • Ensure that collection practices are customer-centric, balancing the need for recovery with maintaining positive customer relationships.Ā 

  • Lead initiatives to improve the customer experience within the collections process.Ā 

RequirementsĀ 

  • Bachelorā€™s DegreeĀ Ā 

  • 8+ years of experience in financial services - including Credit Card and installment loans.Ā 

  • 5+ years of leadership experience, building and prioritizing teams and objectives based on company strategy.Ā 

  • 2+ years eternal vendor management, oversight experienceĀ 

Location: (Hybrid) Wilmington, DE; Baltimore, MD, New York metropolitan area; Charlotte, NC and Salt Lake City, UT.Ā

Target base salary range is $175K - $210K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.Ā Ā
