Search our current job openings and join us to be at the front line of innovation. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Production Planner 3 to be located in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this position you will plan sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to a specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers. You will plan detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases. What you'll get to do: Use SAP/MRP/PDM systems and interpret detailed engineering drawings, manufacturing bills of materials, and related engineering documentation (e.g. engineering changes, parts lists and drawings) using technical instructions and graphics to create and update Assembly Instructions (A.I.) and other related manufacturing build documents. Work with manufacturing staff, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and test engineering on processes and A.I. (Assembly Instruction) maintenance Work to tight deadlines to support manufacturing builds Work as part of a multi-disciplined team The ideal must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and parts lists. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or 2+ years into undergraduate degree program. Experience working in Broadvision's Quicksilver or other document management software. Experience with SAP, MRP, and/or PDM. Technical writing experience.
