Registered Nurse Geriatric Psych Per Diem Days NBH

Summary:

The Psych Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to a group of patients assigned based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. The Psych RN completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department

REQUIRED CCOURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. Behavioral Health-Non-Violet Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position.
