As a dedicated Software Engineer - Early Career, you will provide support to the Enterprise through delivering best in class technology solutions. Engaged in all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle which include gathering and analyzing requirements, designing, testing, documenting, and implementing software, responding to outages. To fully deliver these imperatives, we have developed technical training curriculum to establish base-level knowledge essential to software development standards and practices used within application development teams at USAA. After successfully completing the training curriculum, you will be assigned to an application development team. Under direct supervision, design, develop, code, and test technical solutions. Write code to deliver features, and improvements, on a regular basis. Verify and resolve technical problems and production issues through troubleshooting techniques. Improve application stability and scalability. Create and maintain technical documentation. Create and improve automated tests and code quality. Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
