PAY: $66,560.00 Annually

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of terrazzo, high-traffic carpet floors, as well as concrete and hardwood surfaces.

 • Implement and manage floor care programs and protocols, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules. 

• Train staff on proper floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, diamond polishing, and carpet cleaning, using specialized equipment like buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums.

 • Evaluate and select appropriate cleaning chemicals and solutions, ensuring safety and effectiveness, and coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance and repairs. • Develop and maintain cleaning schedules for all facility areas, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and identifying areas for improvement.

Recruit, train, and supervise janitorial staff, ensuring efficient workflow and task assignment. 

• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing support to foster a positive work environment.

 • Manage payroll for janitorial staff, ensuring accurate and timely processing, while maintaining records of cleaning schedules, supplies, and equipment. 

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and arranging repairs or replacements as needed. 

• Ensure all janitorial activities comply with health and safety regulations, providing training on the safe handling of chemicals and equipment use, and investigating any accidents or incidents.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proven experience in commercial floor care, especially terrazzo and high-traffic carpet care. 

• Extensive knowledge of janitorial practices, equipment, and cleaning solutions. • Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.

 • Proficiency in payroll software and managing administrative tasks. 

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal. 

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
