Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a well qualified Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This position is located in San Diego, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of programmatic milestones. The candidate will be executing systems integration tasking across the entire lifecycle of a system and integrating new capabilities on the RQ4 NATO platform. This role supports leadership across all SE disciplines including requirements development, use case development, architecture development, capability (hardware and software) development, integration planning, lab integration, test planning, formal test, verification and fielded test and mission support. The position requires system thinking and extensive knowledge of development life-cycle processes. Candidate must exhibit strong communication skills (written and oral) and support coordination cross-IPT toward the goal of an operationally validated integrated system. Essential Functions: Support cross-IPT development of system level requirements and use cases Support architecture development and decomposition Support requirements verification methodology and traceability Support development of interface definitions and integration plans Conduct formal integration and support capabilities-based system level testing of fully integrated complex software and hardware subsystems Evaluate integration and test anomalies and assist disposition and correction of issues as found Perform requirements verification and selloff Provide support to flight test and fielded assets Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with at least 2 years of experience OR Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 0 Years experience Experience in at least one aspect of aerospace Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, architecture, test planning, requirements verification, integration, and requirements management A interim Secret Clearance for consideration Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity and understanding of system requirements (validation and verification) and interface control documents (ICDs) Strong leadership, excellent communication, and strong presentation skills Familiarity with JIRA software tool (and/or similar) for issue tracking and resolution Experience in troubleshooting system issues and identifying root cause corrective actions Experience in software development, including interfacing with systems engineering and integration and test Experience in integrating hardware and software in a lab environment, troubleshooting and interface management Experience with technical configuration management (CM or Technical Baseline) Experience with root cause investigations, fielded issue investigation, and operational missions Active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
