Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control. Compiles records concerning quantity and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production and procurement to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action. We are looking for you to join our team as a Production Controller based out of San Diego, CA. What You'll Get To Do: Tracks inventory levels and monitors inventory in WIP, On-Hold, MRB & In-Inspection locations. Works with material planning to ensure materials are ordered in time to support Scheduling & Operations needs. Work closely with Shop Floor Supervisors for optimized WIP Flow. Issues scrapped and OBS material through MRP/ERP systems. Processes Parts Replacement Requisition. Higher Level Work Order Releases. Scrap Material Handler. Delivers hardware to next step. Problem solving and research. Receive in Sustainment Modules and move into WIP for repairs. Position requires 80% of time on shop floor coordinating and controlling product flow and 20% of time updating systems to ensure accurate records in systems. This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying, lifting up to 35 pounds and working overhead. Ideal candidate is a team player and works well at multitasking.
