We are looking for you to join our team as an Engineering Technician 2 or 3 based out of San Diego, CA. As an Engineering Technician at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. You will act as the lead lab technician for an engineering and manufacturing rapid prototyping lab to support the development of electrical and mechanical hardware. This position works under guidance and direction toward predetermined goals and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work is checked through consultation and agreement with customers and by formal review of supervisor. This position is a highly collaborative effort working as a service to the larger engineering community for prototype builds, working to ensure EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) compliance, and for material/asset tracking, maintenance and accountability. You will provide technical support to engineers related to the generation of prototype and production products in accordance with form, fit and functional checks. You will gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results. You will produce 3D printed models and prototype multi-layer boards from provided engineer data files.
