Sr. Product Quality Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer specializing in Composite Structures and Airframe components to ensure the highest product quality throughout the aircraft lifecycle. This role involves managing design validation, manufacturing processes, inspection plans, and regulatory compliance to deliver safe, reliable, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure airframe systems meet design, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to facilitate smooth transitions from design to production.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans and support First Article Inspections (SAE AS9102).
  • Lead quality planning efforts, including PFMEAs, control plans, and SPC.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and CAPA processes.
  • Monitor quality performance, generate reports, and track KPIs for process improvement.
  • Assist with FAA inspection and certification processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) with 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in creating inspection plans and working with MES systems.
  • Experience with APQP tools, FMEAs, SPC, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, AS9102).

Preferred: Experience with SAP, automated inspection equipment, FAA processes, Six Sigma certification, or aircraft assembly.
