Position Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process and policies.  Responsible for the direction of patient care activities in the department during night shift, providing management of operational and nursing activities.   Consults with staff, physicians, and department director on operational problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient care needs are met. Assists with hiring, counseling, evaluations and scheduling.


Associate’s degree is required

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

 

Required License:

Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)

 Required Certification:

American Heart Association BLS is required within 30 days of hire

American Heart Association ACLS is required within 90 days of hire

 Other:

1 year of experience in a health care setting is required

1 year of experience as a charge nurse or other management role is preferred
