The Housekeeping Supervisor coordinates and performs the activities of the housekeeping program to ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition. Will lead the team to achieve community, function, and company performance goals.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 A.M.-3:30 P.M.
Pay: $25-$35/hr DOE
Work Duties include the following this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of employees to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Provide clear guidance, set performance expectations, and offer ongoing support and development to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
- Works as a hands-on supervisor, assisting team members to ensure optimum service to residents, maintains accurate inventory of supplies including linens, preparing daily and monthly work schedules
- When necessary perform the job duties of team members
- Visits new residents and assists them with scheduling housekeeping;
- Presents and maintains a positive customer service focus when interacting with residents, visitors, vendors, and team members;
- Interviews, hires, orients, and trains new team members;
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling requirements and use of equipment
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards,
- Ensures that clinical areas are sanitized in accordance with established Infectious Disease Control Policies and Procedures;
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs, work order software, Microsoft Suite
- Excellent eye for detail/cleanliness
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience performing general housekeeping
- Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience
- Experience working in senior living and healthcare preferred
