 GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION

The Director of Community Engagement is responsible for the overall management of the department, across all levels of living.  Oversees the development and implementation of programming that engages residents, by working hand in hand with them to create experiences that inspire their best lives, as they define it.  Promotes and engages team members and residents in Best Life philosophy. What is Best Life?  Best Life is a unique and holistic dementia care approach that helps people and organizations support those living with dementia to live rich and rewarding lives!

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team at the community and with Community Support Center functional leaders to ensure cohesiveness and coordination that improves the resident experience and offers vibrant community programming.  Monitors the quality of programs, events and activities by evaluating team performance, regular review of the key performance metrics, and ensures compliance with community and State Regulations.  Monitors the effective and efficient use of budgeted resources.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

Education –

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, recreation therapy, aging, business, or related field, preferred.

Experience/Training –

  • Three to Five years of prior related experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
