- Responsible for leading general purchasing (steel aluminum/sub-materials/paints/equipment facility/MROs) and global trade (trade compliance-USMCA, KORUS/customs clearance/ocean domestic transportation/FTA) sections activities and supplier management relating to cost, quality, supplier controls, legal, compliances, delivery and service.
- Provide leadership and direction the general purchasing and the global trade organization. Operates and manages the organization, including employee development and performance evaluation. Strive to improve employee job satisfaction and organizational culture.
- Establish and settle work procedures and processes for the General purchasing and the Global trade section.
- Recruiting and training employees with expatriate, conducting work directives, performance feedback, and evaluation.
- Cooperate with related departments such as the headquarters, other divisions, and external organizations, and support internal communication.
- Prepare/Attend meetings and create the reports related to Procurement division.
- Support communication between Korean and local employees.
- In the initial stage, develop/design/set-up/adjustment/execution, and overall management and supervision of all processes of general purchasing and global trade (according to local conditions/legal) should be carried out, and consultations with relevant departments/related corporations and government agency should be conducted proactively.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and professional operation consistent with corporate vision.
- Create and execute the overall general purchasing items sourcing and global trade strategies/management.
- Manage supply base and systems either directly or through subordinates for general purchasing.
- Accountable for the cost control of purchased items within budget.
- Identify and lead yearly cost reductions activities.
- Professionally resolve problems (both internal and external) in a fair and ethical manner.
- Actively manage the on-going relationships with strategic providers, including supplier improvement, supplier quality, contract management, joint supply chain improvements, and cost improvements over time.
- Direct the gathering of the necessary data required for benchmarking, cost analysis, compliance reporting, and pricing negotiations. Communicate recommendations based on information derived from benchmark information.
- Provide procurement and sourcing related training and processes analysis to business unit personnel as appropriate.
- Manage supply base either directly or through subordinates for global trade systems.
- Manage transportation and customs clearances process of KD parts & general purchasing items.
- Manage Ā overall duties about FTA (Country of Origin of items from abroad, USMCA strategy and et cetera

- Bachelorās degree (all majors)
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Global trade and General Purchasing
- Over 15 years experiences of related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications
- Deep understanding of external market and current trends
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Preferred:
- Job related experience in Automotive or related Industry
- Extensive experience working in procurement department in a related field
- Experiences about Steel & Aluminum/Chemical/MRO purchasing/procurement preferred
- Experiences about FTA and Trade compliance preferred
