- Assist in installation, assembly, and set-up of production machinery.
- Repairs facility equipment such as HVAC, electrical/electronic or material handling equipment, and is able to read blueprints and schematics.
- Initiates preventative maintenance and establishes repair schedules.
- Capable of data entry, and analysis of Maintenance Management System (Asset Essentials).
- Knowledge of manufacturing support equipment.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs production equipment using mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic blueprints.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing equipment, the functions, and operational procedures.
- Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, MOS (manufacturing operations system) functions, equipment set-up and center-lining.
- Performs general facility maintenance to improve or modify facility.
- Ability to quickly learn other functions pertaining to the job.
- Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
- Complete equipment changeovers and modifications.
- Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision.
- Generate safety, productivity and continuous improvement ideas.
