Position Title: Extrusion Press Saw Operator – 3rd Shift

Hours: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Extrusion Press Saw Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate extrusion saw
- Measure and examine extruded products during routine quality checks with the intent to locate defects and check part conformance to specifications found on blueprints
- Determine setup procedures according to specifications and document any inconsistencies or changes
- Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on the extrusion saw and press area (monitor oil levels, change and replace worn tooling, basic cleaning)
- Use ERP system to document machine rates, scrap rates, material usage to facilitate an efficient and lean production environment
- Communicate within the team or organization using email to discuss changes in production schedule or machine issues
- Operate cranes and forklifts to move raw material and tooling when needed
Requirements for Extrusion Press Saw Operator:
- High School Diploma or GEDÂ
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
