About The Position
A corrections facility is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Eastern Washington.
The position offers two scheduling options: either four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, or a standard Monday to Friday schedule from 7 AM to 5 PM, with a preference for the 5-day workweek. If opting for 4x10s, coverage on Monday and Friday is essential, as Friday is the busiest day. The daily caseload averages 810 patients but may vary. Candidates must be board eligible or certified in Internal or Family Medicine (no General Practitioners), with BLS, WA license, DEA, and COVID vaccination required. The role involves treating injuries, acute illnesses, follow-ups, physicals, correctional care, urgent care needs, and minor procedures. The provider will work alongside a physician, supported by 4 MAs and 4 APPs. Credentialing takes 12 weeks. While not mandatory, psych experience, comfort with sutures/injections, and urgent care experience are preferred.
