What will you do in this job?:

Uses company transportation assets to move guests and cargo in a safe, friendly and timely manner.
Drivers conduct and coordinate basic maintenance on company vehicles and maintain records in
accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation and company standards

 

  • Conduct pre and post operation maintenance on assigned vehicle daily. Annotate issues correctly
  • Operate shuttles along assigned routes, reporting changes or challenges to the coordinator
  • Coordinate and communicate with guest service, group coordination and marine staffs to ensure that
    guests receive the best possible service and important information is shared throughout the company
  • Maintains records in accordance with company, state and DOT requirements regarding vehicle
    maintenance, driver activities and traffic incidents

 

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsement
  • Knowledge of Alaska and Seward history, geography, and standard attractions. Familiarity with the
    Alaska Collection products
  • Excellent guest/customer service skills including speaking with guests, assisting them in solving their
    problems, and dealing with angry or disappointed guests in a positive way
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
  • The employee must be able to work in harsh weather conditions for long hours on a variable schedule
  • 2 year’s experience
