Overview:

WAGE: $17Ā / hour

This internship provides hands-on experience in inventory management, quality assurance, process compliance, and data analytics. You will collaborate with Valleyfair's Food and Beverage management team to develop strategies aimed at reducing and optimizing inventory levels and increasing corporate initiative compliance. This role is perfect for those interested in the analytical and strategic aspects of inventory management.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, order, stock, and manage Food and Beverage inventory.
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies with the management team.
  • Support inventory processes, including adjustments, transfers, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain and audit inventory records weekly.
  • Troubleshoot inventory issues and ensure compliance.
  • Minimize product expiration with FIFO rotation and best practices.
  • Audit locations for kitchen safety and efficiency compliance.
  • Coach and train location leadership on inventory practices.
  • Engage with the inventory system (FoodTrak) for control and techniques.
  • Improve quality assurance processes for revenue and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain a training program for inventory management best practices.
  • Conduct weekly tasks:

Sunday: Inventory

Monday: COGS

Tuesday: COGS/Update forms, leadership meetings

Wednesday/Thursday: OFF

Friday: Park audits

Saturday: Manage schedules, address issues, prep buildings


Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Working towards or hold a bachelorā€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be organized and detail-oriented to manage inventory processes efficiently.
  • Be proficient in inventory management systems, such as FoodTrak.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot inventory issues.
  • Be knowledgeable in kitchen safety and efficiency practices.
  • Have the ability to coach and train location leadership on inventory practices.
  • Be adaptable to changing inventory needs and processes.
  • Have experience in quality assurance and cost efficiency analysis.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
